Villa Eilenroc is an exceptional residence in Cap d’Antibes. It symbolises the luxury and pleasure of the beautiful French Riviera. The Villa is open to the public to visit the apartments and to stroll in its lush setting.
During the 19th century, when the rich would visit the Cote d’Azur, the rich Dutch ex-governor of the Dutch East Indies decided to have his residence built between 1860 and 1867 by the famous architect Charles Garnier, also known for the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The name of the villa bears his wife’s name which is Cornélie and it is spelled backwards.
There is also a large garden full of lush greenery, roses, lavender, thyme, rosemary, olive trees, eucalyptus and a lot of other traditional species of the Mediterranean landscape. Admire the fragrances and essences of the garden which are mostly created in the rose capital, Antibes Juan-les-Pins itself.
You can also enjoy a beautiful 3.7 kilometre coastal path between the beach of the villa Eilenroc and Anse de la Garoupe. Appreciate the panorama ahead of you while hiking around the cap d’Antibes and the villa. You can also make a stop in the small of beach of Anse de l’Argent faux.
The villa and the gardens are open on Wednesday and Saturday between 10 am and 4 pm.
