Antibes

About Antibes France :

The town of Antibes or else known with its Ancient Greek name ‘Antipolis’ is located on the shores of the Mediterranean in the department of Alpes – Maritimes in the region of the Côte d’Azur or else the French Riviera.

Antibes finally became French in the 15th century. Around 1850, famous and wealthy people were drawn to the natural beauty of Antibes. Beautiful luxurious villas were built. And soon the citadel became a meeting place for people from all over world and today it is officially an international destination.

Antibes’ natural beauty and rich history as well as buildings will make you fall in love with the city and the French Riviera itself. It has inspired many artists and writers over the years such as Jules Verne, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. You will even have the opportunity to visit the Picasso Museum and admire Picasso’s work at first sight as well as other talented artist’s work.

Whether you are staying or visiting Antibes, we will guide you through all the main hotspots and the most interesting activities for you to enjoy. From cycling and hiking activities to football, basketball, swimming, sailing, food tastings and wine tastings there is always something for everyone to do. Let us not forget to mention about the rich local culture and heritage of the city with its breath-taking sites and monuments and of course the famous jazz festivals that take place in Antibes every year.
