Located just around the town’s historic bastion lies the Old Port of Menton or the Vieux Port de Menton. It is home to small fishing boats, a harbour ideal for a peaceful wander around the town.

The views from the port to the Old Town of Menton and its surroundings are truly astonishing. The pastel-coloured buildings of the city are the real stars of the show. You can see the charming Italian feel of the architecture, as Menton is located very close to the Italian border.

The Old Town right above the port is also very charming with narrow lanes running up the hillside. Most of the monuments and historic attractions are situated within the old town. However, before you start your sightseeing tour, we highly recommend you enjoy a walk in the Old Port and then head to the Promenade du Soleil from which you have clear views of Menton’s stunning surroundings.

The harbour area provides very nice paved promenades, ideal for a pleasant walk facing the Mediterranean Sea. You can admire the boats and the yachts anchored to the beautiful port.

After your walk around the harbour, you can visit some of the restaurants with delicious dishes from the local cuisine or enjoy some refreshing drinks in the most beautiful setting of the city, facing the sea, the Old Town and the mountains as well.
