Situated at the end of a long sweep of the Bay of Angels, the city of Antibes is in the perfect position to offer some of the best beaches in the region for its locals and visitors as well. Its location sets a line to the pebbled beaches or else the beaches with stones and marks the beginning of soft white sandy beaches. Hence, you will find a great choice of beaches with sandy shores and crystal-clear waters.
Some of the public beaches you can find in Antibes are Plage de la Gravette, Plage Ponteil, Plage de la Salis, Plage du Fort Carré and Plage de la Fontonne. These bitches are situated right in the middle of the old town of Antibes which is perfect for a little stroll in its narrow alleys as well while offering great views of the Cap d’Antibes.
You can also visit some of the beaches in Cap d’Antibes where you can also some little boats and explore the rocky headland of the cap. You will also admire some very nice views of the Lérins Islands next to Cannes and the Esterels. Some of the beaches in Cap d’Antibes include Plage de la Garoupe, Port de l’Olivette, Plage des Ondes and Plage du Crouton.
If you want to go a little bit further from the city, then there are also some great beaches in Juan les Pins. Search for Plage de la Gallice, Plage Epi Hollywood, Casino Beach, Grande Plage and Plage du Pont du Lys. All of them are covered in sand and offer great views of the Bay.
Some of those beaches also offer water sport activities either for groups of people, families, couples or even individually. There are also many beach clubs and restaurants around the coast offering refreshing drinks, snacks and very tasty main dishes inspired by the Mediterranean cuisine.
