First held in 1880 under the command of Mayor Count F. Gastaldi, La Condamine Market is a favourite place of the Monegasque as well as visitor. The market focuses on regional products, and creates a friendly and warm spirit.
The aim is to offer regional products accompanied by regional decorations to promote the popular heart and heritage of the Principality and its locals. The decoration is composed of colourful sheet metal furniture, warm lighting and heating equipment for winter as well. This also gives the opportunity to buyers to try local products such as Socca, pissaladiere, fougasse and barbagiuan.
Within the interior of the hall, you will find a selection of butcher’s, bakeries, cheeses, and regional specialities. Outside, there are fruit and vegetable producers as well as florists.
Have a walk through the Provençal halls of the market, pick your top choices and enjoy your lunch in the pleasant terraces that can be found nearby the area. Even if you don’t want to buy anything, La Condamine is definitely worth a detour. Let yourself be carried away by the regional spirit of this colourful and lush place.
The market is open every day, all year round from 7 am to 3 pm. As the name suggests, the market is located on the Place d’Armes, right next to the Condamine shopping district and the Port of Monaco.
