St. Michael the Archangel is a 17th century Basilica dedicated to the saint of the same name. The tower of this Basilica dominates the entire city and overlooks both the coast and the mountains.
The exterior of this Basilica is in the Baroque style with elegant façades and its tower on the side overlooking the coast. The interior is also Baroque, with Saint Michael’s statue alongside St. Maurice and St. Roch. The polychrome marble high altar is also very impressive and worth seeing. You will also find a lot of remarkable paintings.
After you finish admiring the interior and exterior of this spectacular building, prepare yourself to witness one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the region. The Basilica’s location on a small square with its own terrace makes it the ideal spot to enjoy the magnificent views of the coast and the mountains. You can see the picturesque city of Menton with its colourful houses extending to the Mediterranean Sea and all the way to the Italian coast.
