If you are interested in a small day trip outside of Grasse, we recommend a visit or even a hike to the Gorges du Loup. It’s very close, situated only 15 minutes north of the city of Grasse.
You can expect beautiful scenery of wild, titanic walls of limestone rocks and a spectacular canyon featuring three waterfalls. There are wonderful views all over, where you can see turquoise waters from the waterfall gathering in a deep blue pool.
In Gorges du Loup you can take a canyoning exploration, but you don’t need to be so adventurous to enjoy the natural beauty. You can take a walk beginning at La Colle-sur-Loup, then to Pont du Loup. Finally you will reach the hilltop village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, where the views are truly magnificent. To return back to La Colle-sur-Loup, you can go through the town of Vence and the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence which dominates the surrounding countryside.
It is highly recommended to visit Gorges du Loup during summer and enjoy the freshness of the gorges’ isolation.
