The Jazz à Juan takes place every summer in the neighbouring town of Antibes, Juan les Pins. If you happen to visit Antibes during July, take some time and enjoy the jazz sounds while admiring the beautiful coast of the French Riviera.
The festival is held on the seaside of the town, in La Petite Pinède, a small pine forest, making it the ideal location for a summer music festival. It is the oldest jazz festival in Europe, dating all the way back to 1960. It brings the biggest names in Jazz music every year.
Standing out as a legendary place, this festival leaves its own mark as it is the place where the memory of jazz is developed and where its increasing reestablishment is recognised through talented artists such as Marcus Miller, Wynton Marsalis, Salif Keita, Diana Krall, James Carter or Joshua Redman.
In addition to the concerts on the main stage, the Tourist Office in Juan-les-Pins celebrates jazz also through concerts which are offered not only to the big names of Jazz music but also to young artists and amateurs. The streets of the small town are turned into valleys for jazz music, making the city ideal for those who just want to enjoy a walk and listen to the original sounds of Jazz.
