Located on one of the most famous spots in Monaco, Casino Square, lies the beautiful Opera de Monte Carlo, built in 1878. The architect was the famous French architect Charles Garnier, also responsible for the Monte-Carlo Casino.

The main performance space is covered in shades of deep red and gold detailed decorations. There are also frescoes, carvings and sculptures surrounding the interior which make the decoration even more exceptional.

Some of the performances include operas, ballet and musical concerts by famous or young and talented artists. The magical stage of the Opera has hosted many international and legendary stars over the years. Prince, Lionel Richie, Patti Smith, Peter Doherty, Jane Birkin, Lana del Rey and Carla Bruni are just a few.

The Monte-Carlo Opera is a place of history, tradition and architecture. The excellent acoustics of the Opera allow for other events and shows such as the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival, which brings together the legends of jazz music every year.
