If you are staying in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat for several days and feel that you have already explored all that this beautiful peninsula has to offer, be sure to take a trip to nearby Beaulieu sur Mer, a small town that will enchant you with its atmosphere and rich history.

Despite its small size, this town has everything you would look for in a big city on the Côte d’Azur. There is a casino, beautiful beaches as well as sights.

In the past, the town has been visited by a large number of historically important people. These included Queen Margherita of Italy, Queen Victoria, Sir Winston Churchill, or the Russian Tsars, all of whom left their marks here.

There are two harbours in the town, the larger of which can hold up to 800 boats, making it one of the largest on the Côte d’Azur. Next to the harbour there are two beautiful sandy beaches, “la Petite Afrique” and “Baie des Fourmis”. As well as sunbathing and swimming in the sea, you can enjoy all sorts of water activities, including paddle boarding scuba diving or rent a boat and go for a trip on an open sea.

Of course, there are plenty of hotels from the cheaper ones to the luxury ones. If you get the urge to try your luck on the tables, you can go to the Casino des Jeux.

Beaulieu sur Mer also provides summer festivals, the “Les Nuits Guitares” music festival in July and the “Beaulieu Classic Festival” in September.

Also very famous is the Greek villa Kerylos, whose architecture and luxurious interior will leave a lasting memory.
