The town of Villefranche-sur-Mer offers plenty of water fun. There are three beaches in the town. The biggest one, Plage des Marinières is approximately one kilometre long with great accessibility from both cars and train. From the town you head out to the open sea on a boat accompanied by a small plane and very soon you are sure to see pods of dolphins leaping above the water surface. The captain of the boat is in communication with the pilot who discovers the whales from above and gives the boat captain the coordinates to make the search for whales easier.
