About Grasse French Riviera
Grasse is located in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and is considered as France’s capital of perfume with its gorgeous lavender fields.
Because of its location and its weather, it is the most southerly region in which lavender flowers are grown. During your visit in Grasse, we advise you to take a stop at the Fragonard perfume factory.
If you want to learn more about the history of perfume then you can visit the International Perfume Museum with an entry of only €4 per person. The museum also affords botanical gardens outside the town which are open to visitors.
The town of Grasse also offers views of the beautiful blue sea of the Mediterranean as well as its old town with its own architecture.
There are also different types of events and festivities taking place in Grasse all year round. The Feast of Jasmine for example in August with parades of floats and fireworks with the theme of Jasmine flower, hence the name of the feast. There is also the International Rose Exhibition in May with all kinds of roses, markets and shows around the theme of Roses. Some other Provençal traditional exhibitions with themes such as olive oil and organic products also take place in Grasse and are surely worth a visit.
