If you are a fan of museums and an admirer of artists then this is a place you will find rather interesting! Situated in the famous Grand Hotel on La Croisette, this museum contains work of artists who found inspiration from the beautiful Côte d’Azur.

La Centre d’Art La Malmaison is positioned in the game room of the hotel which was built back in 1863.  These rooms were initially used for art exhibitions in 1945 before they were transformed to a sightseeing museum by the city of Cannes in 1983.

Today, the building is dedicated to contemporary art and you can find the works of very famous artists who lived and painted on the Côte d’Azur in the 20^th and 21^st centuries. Some of them include Picasso, Matisse, Ozenfant, Masson, César and Miró.

If you are visiting between July to mid-September then the visiting hours are anytime between 11 am to 8 pm except Mondays. Accordingly, the visiting hours from mid-September to mid-April change from 10 am to 1 pm and 2pm to 6 pm.
