On the top of hill of the Old Town lies the Musée de la Castre which occupies a classified historic monument, a medieval castle which was once used as a monastery.
Initially the tower was intended for the Lérins monks, the lords of the region. The castle of Cannes marked its architectural majesty.

As it is situated on the top of hill, it offers exceptional views of the Bay of Cannes. Climb to the top of building’s tower and admire the breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Cannes and its surroundings.
The Cannes Castre Museum also organises workshops and game tours for adults and children all year round. The museum is usually open from every day except Mondays between 10 am and 6 pm.
