After your tour of the exotic garden, we advise you to enjoy a walk through Nietzsche’s footpath. If you enjoyed the views of the Jardin Exotique, then you will be amazed by the views throughout this path as well.
Nietzsche’s Footpath is a stunning hike through an astonishing variety of landscapes that extends from the top of the hill all the way to the coast, Èze-sur-mer, by creating a very special connection between the mountains and the sea itself. You can only imagine what kind of views are awaiting!
With Nietzsche’s Footpath, you can choose between starting from Èze-sur-mer, the seaside, or from the Jardin Exotique, at the top of the hill. Both directions are approximately 40 minutes long and 2 kilometres in total but keep in mind that the ascending part from the coast to the hill is a little bit more challenging.
Of course, if you are into hiking, you can combine both climbing up and down the path by enjoying the sea views and the mountain views as well. Whether you choose going up or down, you will be able to explore both the coast of Èze-sur-mer or the top of the hill where the Old Town is situated as well as the beautiful botanical garden.
The path is easily accessible by the coast right next to Èze-sur-mer bus stop or at the hill, a few steps away from the Exotic Garden, in the heart of the Old Town. You will also find a lot of signs pointing the directions through the path so you needn’t worry about getting lost.
