The Croisette extends long enough to offer a great deal of both private and public beaches for locals and visitors alike. Of course, you can enjoy private beaches as they usually include amenities such as lockers, sun loungers, waiter service and much more. However, public beaches are just as charming and they are surrounded by the essential facilities as well.
The Plage de la Bocca is situated further from the centre of the Croisette, closer to the airport. The surrounding neighbourhood and the beach itself are a little bit less hectic during summer time mainly because of its location. It is a sandy beach and it is ideal for families with young children or couples who just want to relax and enjoy the natural sounds of the sea.
The Plage du Midi is closer to the centre and the Old Town, Le Suquet. You will also find a selection of restaurants and snack bars along the way. It is a very popular beach and usually very crowded as it is situated in the centre of the Croisette. Just like most of the public beaches on the French Riviera, there are no sun loungers for rent so you can enjoy a spot with your towel on the sand of this beautiful beach facing the Bay of Cannes.
Palm Beach is situated away from the Croisette at the tip of the headland of Cannes, also known as the Pointe Croisette. The views of the Bay of Cannes extending to the Island of Sainte-Marguerite are just breathtaking. It is very close to the harbour so you will even have the chance to observe boats coming back. It is also ideal for windsurfers as it is rather shallow near the shoreline so you will also see some professional surfers performing tricks.
