The Palais de l’Europe is Menton’s theatre and events venue, whose themes and programs vary according to the season they are being held. It was initially built in 1909 in the heart of the city, and originally served as the municipal casino before it was officially transformed into the Palais de l’Europe.
The building is decorated in an Italian style, and features a giant screen and a capacity of 700 seats. Other rooms that can be found within this building include the city’s tourist office, the municipal library, and a contemporary art gallery.
There are two galleries that are ideal for trade fairs and exhibitions. The exhibition on the ground floor showcases a collection of contemporary artists with paintings about Menton’s history and culture. There is also a beautiful garden outside with exotic essences and different kinds of Mediterranean species.
According to the season, there are different kinds of events taking place. From dancing concerts to shows, theatres, exhibitions and all kinds of entertainment evenings, there’s something for everyone.
The doors open every day from Tuesday to Saturday between 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm.
