About Cannes France:
The beautiful city of Cannes is located on the Mediterranean coast in the department of Alpes – Maritimes in the region of the Côte d’Azur or else the French Riviera.
There are so many things to do in Cannes, from the beautiful promenade to the old port, the historical old town, the local food markets and even boat excursions to Lerins islands which are no more than 15 minutes away from Cannes.
While on your visit or stay in Cannes, it is essential that you see at first sight the glamorous Cannes festival which takes place every year and walk in the footsteps of the celebrities who participate in this event which is becoming more and more historical over the years. Just right outside the Palais des Festival you will find the Path of the Stars with hand prints on the sidewalk which we may refer to it as the French version of Hollywood’s walk of fame.
Cannes is also full of great nightlife especially for tourists. Like in the rest of the French Riviera towns, the ‘rebirth’ of the city happened at the beginning of the 20th century. And one of the main reasons was because of first casinos were being built. The first being Casino Municipal in 1926. Nowadays Cannes is the only city on Cote d’Azur (except for Monaco) that has three casinos.
Apart from the casinos and the bars, Cannes also offers a great deal of musical and theatre shows such as orchestral concerts and many performances by talented artists.
Cannes will leave you amazed by its beautiful architecture, gorgeous cultural sights, its rich nightlife and of course its amazing climate and long promenade right next to the beautiful sandy beach.
